Healthy Autumn Walks in Woking

October 2011

5th – A special walk around Old Woking

Meet at the car park on the A247 Old Woking High Street junction with Broad Mead Road at 11.20am. Bus route 463 leaves Woking Station at 10.50 and arrives Old Woking High Street at 11.16am.

12th – Explore Wheatsheaf Gardens and paths.

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45.

19th – Italian coffee at St Johns

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45. This walk will take longer than usual to allow time to stop for coffee.

26th – A chance to walk the Other Side of the canal

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

November 2011

2nd – A special walk around St John’s and Woking Golf Course

Meet in the car park at St John’s Lye at 11.15am. Buses 28, 34 & 35 leave from Woking Station at 10.52am, arriving at St John’s Post Office at a few minutes past 11.

9th – A walk to the Horsell Almshouses

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

16th – A walk around Woking Park

This walk includes a stop for coffee at the Woking Leisure Centre so will take longer than usual.  Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

23rd – A walk around Woodham Common with Tasha Feddery from Surrey Wildlife Trust

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

30th – A walk to the Woking History Centre and across the twin bridges

December

7th – A special walk in Chobham Common followed by a Christmas lunch at the Four Horseshoes pub.

Meet in the car park of the Four Horseshoes pub (13-15 Burrow Hill Green GU24 8QP) at 11.15am. Contact Louise on 01483 757461 for details of pub lunch. Contact Louise before 30th November if you need transport to the walk and back after lunch.

14th – A walk to the Muslim Burial Ground and along the canal

21st and 28th – No walks
