To all Walking for Health Woking members

Please download and mark your choices on the MENU_Woking Walks Christmas Lunch 2011 and return to Louise as soon as possible with a £5 deposit. There is a choice of two courses at a cost of £9.99 or three courses at £11.99. The form can be handed in at a walk or posted to CornerHouse, 2 Courtenay Rd, Woking, GU21 5HQ.

Meet in the car park of the Four Horseshoes pub in Chobham at 11.15am (13-15 Burrow Hill Green, Woking, GU24 8QP). We will walk for about an hour and the table is booked for 1pm. Of course, coming for the walk but not the lunch or the lunch but not the walk is an option.

Please let us know before 30th November if you will need transport to and from the walk and whether you are able to stay for lunch.

Meet at the car park on the A247 Old Woking High Street junction with Broad Mead Road at 11.20am. Bus route 463 leaves Woking Station at 10.50 and arrives Old Woking High Street at 11.16am.

12th – Explore Wheatsheaf Gardens and paths.

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45.

19th – Italian coffee at St Johns

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45. This walk will take longer than usual to allow time to stop for coffee.

26th – A chance to walk the Other Side of the canal

2nd – A special walk around St John’s and Woking Golf Course

Meet in the car park at St John’s Lye at 11.15am. Buses 28, 34 & 35 leave from Woking Station at 10.52am, arriving at St John’s Post Office at a few minutes past 11.

9th – A walk to the Horsell Almshouses

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

16th – A walk around Woking Park

This walk includes a stop for coffee at the Woking Leisure Centre so will take longer than usual.  Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

23rd – A walk around Woodham Common with Tasha Feddery from Surrey Wildlife Trust

30th – A walk to the Woking History Centre and across the twin bridges

December

7th – A special walk in Chobham Common followed by a Christmas lunch at the Four Horseshoes pub.

September 2011

7th – A special walk to Waterers Park with an extension walk to Chobham Golf Course.

Meet in the car park at Waterers Park, Barley Mow Lane, Knaphill GU21 2HT at 11.15am for an 11.30am start. Bus route 28 from Woking, arriving at Knaphill shops at 16 minutes past the hour.

14th – Explore the tow path and   Bronze Age burial mounds with Tasha Feddery from Surrey Wildlife Trust

21st – A canal walk to Parkview for coffee

This walk along the canal to Sheerwater includes a stop for coffee so will take longer than usual.  Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45

28th – A walk to the Woking Mosque and back via CornerHouse

Meet in the Lightbox at 10.45. There will be an opportunity to visit CornerHouse, the Woking Mental Health Resource Centre, who fund the Lightbox healthy walks.

17th – A walk around the Muslim  Burial Ground with Tasha Feddery from Surrey Wildlife Trust
